Our First Webinar! 8th March 2022

We are excited to announce our first Webinar ever!

Titled "Women with PD – Unmet Needs of Women Living with Parkinson’s Disease: The Gaps & Controversies" the Women’s Parkinson’s Project, will be presenting a robust discussion, sponsored by the World Parkinson Coalition!

Women are underserved, ignored and outrightly treated dismissively when it comes to our own health. This is not an exaggeration. Hundreds of women, many of whom reach out to us and other women's groups, have intense struggles getting their needs met.

Women must fight daily for acknowledgment while also fulfilling duties as mothers, daughters, partners, caregivers and so many other roles. Women are finally receiving a small portion of the attention that we deserve when it comes to managing our own health.

This is due to the hard work of so many organizations and advocates throughout the world. One such effort is this webinar, based on a paper published in the Official Journal of the Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society by some amazing female doctors, scientists and advocates.

On the panel will be Dr. Soania Mathur, Professor Elena Moro, Dr. Indu Subramanian, Dr. Adrienne Keener, Dr. Annelien Oosterbaan and Dr. Maria Teresa Ferretti.

The panel will be moderated by WPP Co-Founder Richelle Flanagan.

And what better day to post this than on International Women and Girls in Science Day?
